What our podcast guests say…..

At last year’s Fringe, being in the relaxed and informed company of Backstage on the Fringe (and the resulting, top quality, podcast) was a real highlight of our 2016 Fringe journey. With the passion Backstage on the Fringe have for the Fringe, from grassroots to established stars, we fully expect it will be a Fringe institution in no time (hopefully, they’ll still speak to us).

JJ Fletcher – Sheepish Productions

I loved sharing my story about my debut show at the Edinburgh fringe with Gary in 2016. The experience was personable, and an opportunity to reflect on my work and how my journey to mediocrity came to be. In the maelstrom that is the fringe, Backstage on the Fringe brings the real story behind the artist to life. It’s a wonderful way connect with the artist and the performance in a genuine and truthful way.

Gavin Lind – Committed to Mediocrity

How to get involved

The Backstage On The Fringe Podcast is produced twice weekly throughout August, with additional bonus episodes on featured shows.

We are interested in hearing from companies or performers with an interesting story – both about the development of their shows and their creative process.

We are  particularly keen on hearing about new and innovative work and cover all aspects of the Fringe.   The podcast features comedy, drama, physical theatre, spoken word and interactive theatre and we would love to hear from  you about your show.

New writing?  Innovative performance?   Unusual venue?  A different perspective? Or just plain amazing?
